(How to) disable RH-M1 Cellular Modem


DISABLING THE CELLULAR MODEM ON A RHINOTAB
  1. First boot the computer. While booting, repeatedly press the "ESC" key on the keyboard until you enter the "Aptio Setup Utility" (BIOS).
  2. Scroll over to the "Chipset" tab.
  3. Select "PCH-IO Configuration", then press ENTER.
  4. Select "USB Configuration", then press ENTER.
  5. Select "USB Ports Per-Port Disable Control", press ENTER, then select "Enabled", and press ENTER again. A list of USB ports should appear.
  6. Select "USB Port #2", press ENTER, then select "Disabled", and press ENTER again. Verify that "USB Port #2" is now listed as "Disabled".
  7. Once verified, press the "F4" function key on the keyboard. Select "Yes" to the "Save & Exit Setup" prompt. The computer should restart. The Cellular Modem is now disabled.
