(How to) disable RH-M1 Cellular Modem
DISABLING THE CELLULAR MODEM ON A RHINOTAB
- First boot the computer. While booting, repeatedly press the "ESC" key on the keyboard until you enter the "Aptio Setup Utility" (BIOS).
- Scroll over to the "Chipset" tab.
- Select "PCH-IO Configuration", then press ENTER.
- Select "USB Configuration", then press ENTER.
- Select "USB Ports Per-Port Disable Control", press ENTER, then select "Enabled", and press ENTER again. A list of USB ports should appear.
- Select "USB Port #2", press ENTER, then select "Disabled", and press ENTER again. Verify that "USB Port #2" is now listed as "Disabled".
- Once verified, press the "F4" function key on the keyboard. Select "Yes" to the "Save & Exit Setup" prompt. The computer should restart. The Cellular Modem is now disabled.
